Sierrah, the senior

Can you even believe it?!?! I have blogged five days in a row!! This is a big. deal. I'm so thankful this week of productivity has occurred! I have another batch of posts and amazing people coming up again next week, so keep coming around! AND...thank you! Really, I mean it...thank you for stopping by my blog...it's so encouraging to know you're all checking out the work and reading up on the stories that I get to share. I'm really privileged to do the work I do.

As promised, the lovely Sierrah! Not only has she got some amazing eyes, but she is has an incredible heart and has a fantastic sense of humor!

Sierrah loves her horsie.

And her horsie loves my camera.

And believe it or not, I really liked this horse. I'm not really that into animals, {not a hater; I have my reasons} but I've always kind of liked horses...from afar. Sierrah, also a very bright gal, shared with me that I probably like them because they can be pretty calm and laid back. Ding, ding, ding. Hyperactive pets kind of stress me out...so a chill horse I can handle!

LOVE this! Such a beautiful girl.

Happy senior year, Sierrah!

The Ramsey Family

I've been looking forward to blogging this family session all week! :-) I've just recently started to get to know the Ramseys this past year since I've moved back home and I'll just go ahead and tell you right away: they are so nice! We had lots of rescheduling because of rain and sickness, but once we finally beat all that, I headed out to their house and was SOOO pumped about the area I'd be shooting in. They live out in the country and have fields, tractors, and horses, oh my!

Their horses couldn't be left out!

Abi is SOO full of life!

John was a bit suspicious of me at first, but I think I grew on him throughout the session!

Such a mischievous grin you've got there, Jed!

The week before our shoot, I heard that Angela and Jason had this awesome car!!! I HAD to use it...it's so...Mr. Magoo!!

John was ALL smiles and giggles once we got him to his swing!

Such a sweet couple and great parents to this bunch!

All personalities shown in FULL FORCE:

Sierrah and her mom are just gorgeous! While I was out there, we grabbed a few for her senior photos, but you'll see those tomorrow!

AHH...love these! The kids kept asking if we could go jump on the hay bales...I'm SO glad we did!

Ramseys...you are fantastic! Thanks for letting me come and play in the mud and hang out with you guys!

Renea, the writer

I also could have titled this Renea, the genius. Seriously...Renea is one of the brightest people I've ever met. When I was in college, I served as a Resident Assistant one year and Renea was the Resident Director at the time. I always looked forward to our weekly meetings, knowing I would walk away challenged to think deeper and encouraged by the wisdom this woman has been given.

Since that time, Renea has studied abroad at L'Abri in Switzerland. She recently moved back to the Dallas area and is on staff at Probe Ministries. Renea is a writer, thinker and overall incredible individual. She needed some head-shots for the Probe website, so we got together a few weeks ago and came up with these images!

Rachel & Aaron, the wedding

Ahhh....you thought I wasn't going to make it today, didn't ya? :-) Tuesdays are crazy-days...so this post has been in the works for several hours now, getting put on the back burner to many other things! Not to worry though, there are several images below now!

Rachel and Aaron have known each other for years, and I'm sure you remember their story from their engagement session!  Their wedding was absolutely fairy-tale like and I was so glad to have been a part of it!

Rachel was so giddy and it was SO cute!

Don't you love the fun umbrellas! Wonderful touch, I think!

I feel like I'm always escaping at weddings to an area completely unlike the others, and it's never planned...enchanted forests, places that look like other countries...and now the farm!

The entrance of the bride was so sweet!

Ahh...one of Rachel's bridesmaids was a great friend of mine: Lindsi! She's also tying the knot soon, so congrats to her!!

This place was loaded with amazing locations for the bride and groom shots!

Yipppppeeee! One of my favorites!!! Loved the flare, fence and overall feel of this!

Rachel and her mom scored these awesome birdcages on eBay and the florist did a spectacular job on incorporating them throughout the reception!

Thanks so much Rachel and Aaron...you've been fantastic clients to work with and friends through it all!

When the sun once shone...

It is my goal to blog every day this week-let's just hope it happens!! I have SOOO very much to catch up on. I was going to try and shoot for getting it all done by November 1st, but editing 12,166 photos in 6 days just seems a bit overwhelming. (Just a tad.) BUT....I'm pushing through and working lots of extra hours over these next couple of weeks so you can see all of the great people I've been able to shoot! I had 4 shoots last week and it felt like each one just kept getting better than the last, when I was sure one could never be topped! Soon, you'll see why! I'm so thankful for the amazing people I get to work for!

For today though, I wanted to give you a glimpse into a sunnier time. I think the last post I wrote that had an update-feel was on a really rainy Sunday. It was the first rainy weekend the Dallas area had seen in awhile. That was over a month ago. It basically hasn't stopped raining since, making this the wettest Fall that Texas has seen in years...maybe even decades! So...today I felt like posting some sunny photos after the downpour last night! This is my family, gathering right at the end of the summer for one last cook-out!

My sister lives in a really great neighborhood with older homes that have tons of character and cute white picket fences. I love it there!

My niece Jenna, enjoying her snowcone-in-a-cup. The poor gal had just had her tonsils out and didn't get to take in any of the amazing grilling.

This is my other niece Jaci, who NEVER lets me take her picture. SOOOO glad I was able to get her happy face in my camera and not her back.

Jenna, on the other hand, let's me photograph her all the time! She'd had enough of it here though!

My wonderful cousin, Cecily!

Love this girl!

When I think through my memories of swimming as a kid, I remember always feeling two things when I was finally convinced to get out of the pool: hunger and exhaustion! I would scarf down food to replenish my drained self, wash that chlorine out of my hair and then fall asleep happily. At the end of the night, I looked around the corner, saw Jenna combing her hair and vividly saw my childhood again.

I hope you've felt the sun through your computer now! :-) Keep coming back this week for lots more!
